METTLE is an annual national level technical symposium, organized under the aegis of the Metallurgical Engineering Association of National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.

Over the years, METTLE has been a stimulating technical programme with contributions in the form of Guest lectures by leading professionals from the industry and reputed organisations. Apart from the insights of leading professionals, it also includes Technical paper presentations in the field of Metallurgy and Materials Science given by delegates participating from other premier institutions.

To lighten up the proceedings a series of interactive events like Technical quiz, Business Quiz, Industrial problem solving contest would be held challenging the knowledge of the students in these fields. As an upshot, the symposium promises to be an absorbing one.
